First look at NieR: Automata’s forest area
Some new screenshots from Famitsu.
Famitsu has gone up with a new online preview of NieR: Automata showcasing the game’s forest area.
■ A Beautiful Forest Introduced
A naturally rich area where lush forests spread out alongside a gently flowing stream. An old building converted into a giant castle that gives off a lingering scent of civilization lies deep in the woodlands. Along the way, you can also see how the machine life-forms that once protected the castle are rusting away.
■ Somewhat Unhateable and Lovely Machine Life-Forms
The machine life-forms that appear in the woodlands wear Middle Ages-style armor and have a somehow humorous appearance. Under the command of a leader-like individual, they seems to make up a unique community that does battle training and military formations.

NieR: Automata will launch for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, and for PlayStation 4 and PC in North America and Europe in early 2017.
